2nd Annual Community Day Child Seat Clinic

The Highway Patrol & The Partnership for Children of Wayne County would like to invite you to be part of the Second Annual Community Day . The event will be held in Goldsboro at the Wal-Mart Shopping Center located at US 70 & NC 581. There will be Live Canine Demonstrations from Wayne County's Sherrif's Dept., & SJAFB, Swat Team, Search & Rescue Team, Fire Departments, EMS< and Duke LifeFlight Helicopter in attendance.
This is a coordinated effort with the Safe Kids Coalition of Wayne County. Safe Kids is a nationwide network of non-profit organizations working to prevent unintentional childhood injuries and deaths. Nationally certified technicians, which include State Troopers and Partnership staff along with other local and county law enforcement agencies will check child seats as well provide in-depth guidelines for proper use and installation of these child restraint devices.
Vendors from Wal-Mart, Target, McDonalds and Chick-Fil-A will be on hand providing food and games for the children. In addition, various emergency vehicles from Police, EMS and Fire will be on display for viewing and demonstrations.
Last year the event resulted in over $6,000 being raised and donated to Safe Kids for car seats and child safety. As a result of this out pouring, over 50 families were presented with new child seats.
