February is Black History Month, and to celebrate it, Wayne County Public Library is celebrating the contributions African Americans have made to poetry. Lenard Moore, English Professor at the University of Mount Olive and 2014 Recipient of the North Carolina Literature Award, will talk about the great contributions of African Americans to poetry. He will read selections from some of the great poets, along with reading some of his own poetry. For more information, call Heath at 919-735-1824 ext. 5121.
