Ash Wednesday Service
Chaplain Williamson will offer an imposition of ashes to interested Christians during lunch on Wednesday February 22. On Ash Wednesday Christians from a variety of denominations go to church to be marked with an ashen cross on their foreheads. Ashes and sackcloth in both the Old and New Testament are usually connected with repentance. Ash Wednesday calls us to the conversion journey that marks the season.
