Downtown Goldsboro will host The Mighty Saints of Soul at the always free and open to the public – Center Street Jam! The Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation (DGDC) would like to invite you to come and enjoy some great music sponsored this week by Zaxby’s.Center Street Jam begins at 5:30 p.m. and offers the best of entertainment, food, cold beverages with an evening full of excitement for the whole family.
            The Mighty Saints of Soul is the culmination of a large amount of Eastern N.C. talent from some of the area's most famous bands. They were essentially the entire rhythm section of the Band of Oz from 1968 to 1975 w/ Keith Houston on guitar. The band played as Jackie Gore and the All Starz for 3 years from 2004 through 2006. When the Legends of Beach formed in 2006, Jackie departed, and was replaced by Danny Garner. Danny was formerly the lead guitarist and singer of Warehouse and is a veteran of various other Eastern NC groups.
         
Bring your kids, bring your lawn chairs, and bring your dancing feet.  Come with an appetite too – your taste buds will be tempted by Pizza Inn, Zaxby’s and many more. Coca Cola & RA Jeffrey’s are both on site with plenty of beverages to cool you off!
 
The bi-weekly event is held at the Waynesborough House parking lot on South Center St. in Downtown Goldsboro from 5:30 – 8:30pm. No pets or coolers please.
