Ella Ann Holding Recital
A special guest recital will take place in Rodgers Chapel on Sunday, January 30 at 4:00 PM. Ella Ann Holding, a native of Smithfield, NC, will perform the music of Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Debussy. She earned a Bachelor of Music from Salem College, where she received the 1996 Distinguished Alumni Award. Mrs. Holding went on to earn a Master's in piano performance at Yale University, twice winning the Yale Concerto Competition. With additional study at the Juilliard School of Music on a scholarship, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has performed with the North Carolina Symphony, the South Carolina Philharmonic, and at the Spoleto Festival. At its 2003 Commencement, Campbell University awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters to Mrs. Holding.
