FACTA Red Flags
On November 1, 2009 virtually every business nationwide was required to comply with the Red Flags Rule, changing how they must handle sensitive customer and employee information to prevent identity theft. Most small businesses are unaware that this law exists and are at significant financial risk if they lose consumer or employee personal information. This seminar will cover the financial risks to businesses, the five types of identity theft, the cost of identity theft, legislation and penalties (including possible jail),Federal Trade Commission( FTC) Guidelines for compliance, and the Red Flags Rule.
