Get Help with Student Aid Forms
Individuals who plan to attend college in the 2008-09 academic year and their families can get assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Feb. 9 in the Spruce Building at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro. Financial aid professionals will assist with completing and submitting the forms which are required to be considered for all federal and most state financial aid, including grants, for college.
Wayne Community College is one of 56 "FAFSA Day" sites across the state. Not all counties will host the event this year, including two that adjoin Wayne County, Duplin and Johnston.

www.CFNC.org/fafsaday) to sign up for this free program.www.pin.ed.gov). It will also save time if they complete as much as possible and bring a copy of the "FAFSA on the Web" pre-application worksheet, available at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Participants should bring the student's and parents' W-2 statements and federal tax forms for 2007 or other income documents if the tax returns have not been completed. Both students and parents are encouraged to obtain Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) prior to the day from the U.S. Department of Education Web site (
FAFSA Day is hosted annually by the N.C. Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC). CFNC also provides, through its Web site, college cost estimators, listings of scholarships, grant and loan opportunities, information about North Carolina’s 529 college savings plan, career information, virtual tours of more than 100 N.C. college campuses and online college admission and financial aid applications.
