Goldsboro Jaycees Christmas Parade

The Goldsboro Jaycees' Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 5th at 4 p.m. in Historic Downtown Goldsboro. The theme of this year's parade will be "Rocking Around the Christmas Trees." Entries for the parade are now being accepted and are due with fees by Sunday November15th. To participate in the parade, the official 2009 entry form and fees must be submitted to the Goldsboro Jaycees and received or postmarked (placed in the mail) by Sunday, November 15th. Entries will be accepted after this date, however, a late fee will be charged. A $25 late fee will be charged for entries postmarked between Nov. 16 to Nov. 21. A $35 late fee will be assessed for entries postmarked between Nov. 22 to Nov. 28. Applications must be received by November 28th or entries may not be allowed in the parade. Due to the large number of entries and the need to notify participants, under no circumstances will entries be accepted the week of or the day of the parade. Fees must be paid via a check or money order and made payable to the Goldsboro Jaycees. Cash will not be accepted this year. Entry forms and guidelines are available for pick-up at the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce at 308 N. William Street and at the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation (DGDC) office on Walnut Street near the Courthouse. A representative from the Jaycees will also be present at the Flying Shamrock Irish Pub at 115 North John Street on Saturday November 14, November 21 and November 28 from 4:30pm - 6pm to accept applications and answer questions. Once all applications are received, entry numbers and times will be assigned. Participants will be emailed their entry number, time of arrival, directions to the line-up area and other guidelines on Monday November 30th. Failure to include an email address on the application may result in not being notified about your entry number. Also, special requests concerning placement in the line-up will only be taken into consideration if this is notated on the entry form. Please do not call to make special requests or to inquire about your line-up number. Please review the applications and guidelines prior to contacting the Jaycees with any inquiries.
