The featured speaker for this seminar is Alvin Ward, Fire Chief for the City of Goldsboro. Chief Ward received his B.S. in Political Science from North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, NC. Chief Ward has an extensive background in Fire Prevention and Education along with many years of hands on experience. He spent 3 years in Chapel Hill as Deputy Fire Chief , 5 years experience with Wake County Public Safety Fire Rescue as Director of Training, 2 years experience with Cary Fire Department as a Firefighter, 8 years experience with the City of Kinston as Fire Captain. He was also named NC Fire Instructor of the Year 2002.
