MOC Presents Blackbeard: The Man Behind the Legend
MOUNT OLIVE—Mount Olive College in conjunction with Wayne County Reads 2009 presents Margaret Hoffman, author of Blackbeard: A Tale of Villainy and Murder in Colonial America on March 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hennessee Room of the Lois K. Murphy Regional Center.
Hoffman will lecture about Blackbeard’s illustrious, but short-lived career. This presentation is made possible through a grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council’s Road Scholars Speakers Bureau. The North Carolina Humanities Council is a nonprofit foundation and state affiliate for the National Endowment for the Humanities.
