ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Carl Crothers, owner and president of Bluewind Communications, is the former vice president and executive editor of the Winston-Salem Journal, a nationally award-winning daily newspaper and digital news site serving Northwest North Carolina. Carl was editor of the Journal for the final 14 years of his 31-year newspaper career. He was also a reporter and served in various senior editing roles at The Tampa Tribune during the 1980s and early 90s. He developed Media General Inc.’s first online news site, Tampa Bay Online, in 1994. He was a long-time member of the American Society of News Editors (ASNE) and was a board member of the North Carolina Press Association.
