Talk on U.S.-China Relations Set for Nov. 27
The public is invited to attend a lecture on China and U.S. relations by Dr. Louisa Kilgroe, a teaching assistant professor in history at N.C. State University. The talk will be held 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Moffatt Auditorium at Wayne Community College's main campus in Goldsboro. There is no charge. Dr. Kilgroe earned her doctorate in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She specializes in the history of U.S. foreign policy in China, modern Chinese history, and traditional and modern East Asian history. She has been awarded a University Teaching Fellowship from the University of North Carolina and a Reynolds Industries Research Fellowship. This speech is the 11th in a series of World View lectures designed to increase global awareness. It is a component of WCC’s Global Education Plan that is guided by the college's Cultural Diversity/Global Education Task Force.
