''The Tuscarora War'' - Native American Heritage Month lecture
The Tuscarora War will be the topic of this year?s Native American Heritage Month lecture at Wayne Community College. Donald Underwood Thompson, who has done extensive research on the 1711-1713 conflict, will talk about the Tuscarora tribe's attempt to stop the growth of the North Carolina colony on their land and its results at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10 in Room 161 of the Wayne Learning Center (main building) on the college?s main campus in Goldsboro. The lecture is hosted by the WCC Cultural Diversity Global Education Task Force. It is free and open to the public with no reservation required.
