United Way & NALC Annual Food Drive
Join us to stamp out hunger!
United Way of Wayne County is once again partnering with Letter Carriers in Wayne County to collect non-perishable food to be donated to our local charities and food banks.
Join us by leaving non-perishable food at your mailbox on Saturday, May 14th. Food will be picked up for residents living in zip codes 27530 through 27534. You can also drop off your donations to the Berkeley Station or Downtown Post Office, May 2-14.
Please- no glass and no expired food.
This year Wayne County volunteers will work with the Local Letter Carriers and the Rural Letter Carriers to collect, sort and distribute the food to: Community Soup Kitchen of Goldsboro, HGDC Community Crisis Center, The Salvation Army, Shiloh Farm Ministry, Inc., Society of St. Vincent de Paul, United Church Ministries, and Wayne Uplift Domestic Violence Shelter.
Our goal is to collect 16,000 pounds of food to help our neighbors in need! Donate your non-perishables and do your part to "STAMP" out hunger!
